During my first weaving course in college (1976) we were required to learn some tapestry techniques. It was definitely NOT my cup of tea. Then, about 25 years later I was inexplicably drawn to give it another try. Meeting Soyoo Park and seeing some of her work was definitely a turning point in my interest. Everything comes in its own time. After studying with Soyoo for several years I became part of the Wednesday Group of tapestry weavers who studied with Archie Brennan and Susan Martin Maffei. I was a member of that group for over a dozen years, until we disbanded in 2015. Now tapestry has become the focus on my weaving endeavors.
